Description
While it is possible to use a really cheap and basic DC motor which provides a fast pump, using a stepper motor provides a level of precision which I prefer over speed. NEMA stepper motors are available in a variety of types and the choice of the type 17 provides the torque required for the pump to work.
You can either source your own stepper to attach to the pump head. If you do you would need to ensure it is a bi-polar 12V model.
